Thanks guys! The quote that stuck with me is "Films are not finished they are abandoned". I can think of a number of startups "exits" via M&A that felt very much like that. With regard to your discussion around older film makes it reminded me of the advice that Alan Rickman gave to young actors:
"Forget about acting. Whatever you do as an actor is cumulative. Go to art galleries, listen to music, know what's happening on the news, in the world, and form your opinions, develop your taste and judgement. So that when a quality piece of writing is put in front of you your imagination, which you've nurtured, has something to bounce off of."
In that way the best "builders / founders / creators" develop systems and processes to increase their cumulative experience and channel that.
